Giving Thanks on Thanksgiving

It’s Thanksgiving, so we at Impressions Agency would like to stop for a minute, look up from the headlines that make it seem like the world is in a tailspin, and reflect on the things that are good – the things and the people for which we are thankful.

Before we get to our personal thanks, we’d like to express our sincerest gratitude to all of you, our clients. We are thankful that as a small business, we can help other small businesses find their voice on the Internet. We are thankful for all the different people we encounter every day. As many of us are naturally curious people, we are thankful to be able to research and get to know all types of industries, learning new information every day that we can pass on to you and your clients, and create fun and informative content.

We are also thankful for the technology that allows us to work together as a team, despite being spread out from Croatia to Colorado to Costa Rica, sometimes Copenhagen and California (apparently we only live in places that start with a “C,” but that’s a topic for another day.)

So, from all of us to all of you, thank you for being a part of our blended family!

Now, on a personal note:

“This past week, I found myself sitting at the funeral of a friend who passed away in a tragic ATV accident. I didn’t know him well, but from the little time I had spent with him and his friends, I came to know him as a person who loved well and embodied thankfulness. He took time for people. In fact, about a month ago, he showed up at our door. He worked for Door to Door Organics, and he was filling in on someone else’s route. I’m sure he was busy with all his deliveries, but it felt like he had all the time in the world to catch up with Travis and I. He genuinely cared about what was going on in our lives. Over 2000 attended his funeral, and the legacy he leaves is tied to his motto: “Be Thankful Always.” It’s so easy to make the nonimportant in life take the place of what’s really important. I’m thankful for Jeremiah’s life and that through who he was, I’m reminded to slow down and not neglect the most important things in life, to take time for people no matter who they are, and to have a spirit of thankfulness. I’m so thankful for a God who loves me in spite of me, a husband who reminds me to slow down and enjoy what’s in front of me, and my two daughters who bring beauty and joy to my life on a daily basis.” – Charisa

“I am grateful for being surrounded by people who really loves me. For being able to share special moments with people who are not as lucky as we are. I love to volunteering and helping others. This year, I volunteered at the homeless shelter in downtown San Jose.” – Sofia

“I am thankful for my family and the great friends that the Lord has allowed to shape my life. I am also thankful for the freedom I have been blessed with to enjoy some of the things I love.” – Lance

“More than ever, I am so thankful for my parents. They taught me not to be afraid of people who look different than me, live differently than me, and love differently than me. To celebrate, not condemn, diversity. I am thankful that after I finish this blog, I get to ride through the jungle on my horse. I am thankful that the love of my life loves me right back.” – Gry
